Enemies with Benefits is a tight little series with one very clear promise. Two dangerous men are on opposite sides of a revenge story, and they are going to want each other anyway. The result is an M/M romantic suspense story that feels sleek, fast, and a little dangerous even in its quieter moments.

The opening piece, Enemies with Benefits, works like a fuse. Will is still carrying the loss of the men in his unit and believes a corrupt billionaire is responsible. When he gets a shot at that man, he runs into the billionaire's bodyguard, Kit, a professional protector with a frightening reputation and a calm exterior that only makes him more intriguing. Their first clash does exactly what a good prologue should do. It sets the stakes, lights the chemistry, and tells you that vengeance is about to get complicated.

The full novel, Enemies Like You, digs deeper into both men. Will wants justice and thinks he knows who deserves blame. Kit appears to be defending the indefensible, but he has secrets of his own and reasons for staying close to a very bad man. That tension carries the whole book. The romance matters, but so do the lies, the shifting loyalties, and the question of whether either man can afford to trust what he sees in the other.

This is not a cozy misunderstanding story.

The setting gives the series its shape. Wealth, private security, elite spaces, and off-page violence create a world where nobody feels fully safe. Kit and Will are both used to control.
