He is heir to a family fortune, and that gives the trilogy a built-in sense of reach and control. Even when Harper tries to run, the story never lets her get far from the people who can drag her back into the mess.

As the books go on, the cast widens and the danger grows. Gabriel becomes a key part of the emotional and strategic chaos, and outside threats start pressing in from all sides. What begins as a private act of revenge turns into something rougher and more volatile, with violence, shifting alliances, and real physical danger crowding the romance.

The tone is dark romance all the way through. There is anger, manipulation, and a lot of old damage sitting under the attraction. If you want a soft enemies-to-lovers story, this is not it. If you want a revenge-heavy trilogy where desire keeps making every choice more reckless, Beautiful Tears, Beautiful Torture, and Beautiful Tyrant are exactly that kind of ride.
