Duke's House Party Books in Order

The premise of Duke's House Party is pure romantic trouble. A country house gathering should be a place for dancing, dinners, flirtation, and strategic matchmaking. Eva Devon turns it into something much tenser. Here, the party is also a trap, a stage for revenge, and a meeting ground for several dukes carrying grief and old anger.

That setup gives the series a strong engine right away. In How I Danced With the Duke, the Duke of Wildwood is hosting the gathering for reasons that have very little to do with pleasure. He wants justice for what happened to his sister. Then a bookish, inconvenient, impossible-to-ignore young woman walks into the middle of his plan.

Things only get messier from there.

I Kissed The Duke keeps the house party structure but shifts the focus to another wounded duke and another collision between vengeance and desire. The series works because Devon uses the shared setting well. Even when each book centers a different couple, the atmosphere of suspicion, private agendas, and social performance stays in the air.

The women matter a great deal here. They are not just guests wandering through a hero's revenge fantasy. They question, interrupt, complicate, and often humanize the men around them. That keeps the books from becoming too grim, even when the backstories are painful.

If you enjoy historical romance with a tighter setting, multiple connected heroes, and the delicious problem of love arriving at exactly the worst possible moment, Duke's House Party offers that in style. It has house-party sparkle, but the pulse under it is darker and more urgent.
