Dragon's Gift: The Amazon Books in Order

Dragon's Gift: The Amazon is Rowan Blackwood's branch of the Scotland based DragonGods arc. Like the other Blackwood series, it sits inside the larger Dragon's Gift universe, so you still get linked worldbuilding, dragon-touched magic, and some overlap in the wider timeline. What makes this one feel different is its stronger mythic pull. Even by Dragon's Gift standards, these books like their stakes large and their magic tied to old powers.

Rowan's story is built for readers who want action first and plenty of supernatural trouble around it. The titles themselves give the mood away, Gods of Magic, Hunt for Magic, Clash of Magic, Threat of Magic, Power of Magic. This is a series about a heroine being pulled into bigger and bigger magical conflicts until she has no option but to meet them head on.

The Scotland setting helps.

The DragonGods books have a slightly different flavor from the Magic's Bend branches. They still move quickly, but there is more room for landscape, older histories, and a sense that the world under the modern one has been there a very long time. Rowan's series benefits from that because it is at its best when old power and immediate danger are colliding in the same scene.

Another useful thing to know is that this is still very much Hall. Even when the books lean grander, they stay readable and direct. Rowan is not wandering through pages of lore hoping something eventually happens. Trouble is usually already happening, and she is reacting to it in real time. That keeps the pace lively and makes the magic feel like part of the plot instead of decoration.

The romance in this branch is present, but the series generally feels more adventure led than some of Hall's steamier subseries. If you like linked urban fantasy worlds but want a little more myth, travel, and supernatural scale in the mix, that is a good fit. The books also work nicely alongside Bree and Ana's arcs because the three series together make the DragonGods side of the universe feel fuller.
