Series background & context

Dark Tournament, also known as the Infernal Odyssey storyline, returns to the supernatural world connected to Elisa S. Amore's Touched Saga. It follows Drake, an Angel of Death whose life has already been shaped by loss, danger, and a habit of acting first and worrying later.

A century after losing his fiancée, Stella, Drake has become an Executioner who guides mortal souls onward. Then he is killed and wakes up in Hell, trapped within the Witches' castle. It is an awful place to be stuck, but Drake's situation becomes even more urgent when he learns that Stella is somewhere in Hell too.

He goes after her.

The first book, Infernal Odyssey - Dark Tournament, sends Drake into a hostile afterlife ruled by witches, strange creatures, and deadly games. He is forced to deal with both the threats around him and the pain of finding Stella after so much time apart. Their reunion does not solve their problems. It gives them a new reason to survive.

Drake and Stella make an entertaining pair because they are both stubborn, capable, and not always in agreement. Their relationship is the heart of the series, but it is never separated from the action. They have to move through a version of Hell designed to trap, divide, and break people, while working out whom they can trust and what they are willing to risk for one another.

The second book, Lost Paradise - Rogue Arena, takes them deeper into the underworld after they escape the Witches' Dark Tournament. Their route toward Earth leads to the Rogue Arena, a magical contest with a terrible reputation. Its ruler is charming, dangerous, and determined to make survival depend on temptation, power, and betrayal.

The series has a darker, more adventure-driven feel than the main Touched books. There are monsters, prisons, magical trials, old enemies, and plenty of narrow escapes. Still, the core question remains personal: can Drake and Stella hold on to each other and to themselves when the world around them makes love feel like a weakness?

Readers should begin with Infernal Odyssey - Dark Tournament. The books follow one continuous journey, and the emotional history between Drake and Stella becomes more meaningful as their past and present are revealed.
