Having escaped his dying body for an immortal avatar, Max builds a life among AlterWorld’s permanent players. Rivalries, slavery, and governments seeking virtual resources threaten that freedom, forcing him to decide how to defend his new home.

As AlterWorld’s ties to Earth weaken, Max encounters a Russian girl fleeing slavery in virtual China. Responding to her appeal draws him into a confrontation between nations, turning a personal obligation into a battle involving thousands.

As reality and AlterWorld begin to merge, Max must prepare his alliance for the struggle over the First Temple. Obligations to gods, endangered players and potential allies draw him toward Inferno, where faith has given terrifying demons real power.

Two stories explore what happens when the boundary between Earth and AlterWorld can be crossed in both directions. An infernal invasion threatens the real world, while Doc’s efforts to rescue dying children bring difficult consequences and official scrutiny.

An approaching enemy turns the Russian cluster into a battlefield while refugees fill the Valley. Now leading a resistance rather than merely a clan, Max must unite allies and protect civilians amid a war that crosses worlds.

The war for the First Temple reaches a crisis as gods enter the fighting and the boundaries between worlds break apart. With AlterWorld’s creatures spilling onto Earth, Max faces increasingly difficult choices about loyalty, survival and returning home.

When a UFO showers Earth with valuable artifacts, Paul and his friends join the scramble to obtain them. The apparent gifts conceal an unexpected destination: a virtual training ground preparing their recipients to become space fighter pilots.

Exhausted armies and warring gods push the struggle for the First Temple toward its end. As the universe threatens to unravel, Max must choose between pursuing victory, reclaiming what he has lost and finding a route back to Earth.

Reborn as a minor divine being, a newcomer enters the Divine Nursery within the World Tree. AlterWorld’s rules now operate on a different scale, with restricted passage and altered time offering possibilities within a newly opened existence.

Newly divine but still low in the celestial hierarchy, Laith faces a crisis as AlterWorld loses its magic. Preventing disaster requires him to contend with limited time and powers greater than his own while learning what godhood demands.
