Series background & context
Crimson Point Security is the most direct bodyguard branch of the Crimson Point world. The setup is right there in the title, these books revolve around personal protection specialists and the women whose cases put them in very close proximity.
That makes the emotional engine easy to grasp. A woman is in danger. A security professional is assigned to keep her alive. Both of them have reasons to stay detached. Neither of them manages it for long.
The first book, Guarding Teagan, shows the formula in good form. Teagan is chasing justice and trying to solve a murder, while Decker Abrams is supposed to keep the situation professional even though the two already share a past. That blend of active heroine, bodyguard tension, and escalating danger carries nicely into the rest of the series. Guarding Bella, Guarding Autumn, Guarding Bristol, and Guarding Cassie continue building the same close-knit security world, one couple and one high-risk case at a time.
Compared with the earlier Crimson Point books, this series feels a little more streamlined around the protection setup. That is a good thing if you like clear romantic suspense stakes. The external conflict is easy to understand, keep the client safe, find the threat, survive long enough to figure out what this attraction means. The internal conflict usually comes from history, trust issues, or rules that say getting involved would be a mistake.
If bodyguard romance is your favorite corner of suspense, this is probably the most obvious Kaylea Cross series to try. It keeps the town connections and recurring world while putting the protection angle front and center.
