Series background & context
Counting on Love is the earlier name for what later became the Just Everyday Heroes: Night Shift books. The focus shifts to the Dixon family and their circle, but the tone stays connected to the Bradford world, lots of banter, strong family presence, and love stories that grow out of friendship, history, and everyday chaos.
This is a good series if you like linked contemporary romances where siblings and friends keep reappearing and affecting one another's lives. She's the One is the first full novel, and Just Count on Me works as a bridge into the world. The books are lively, romantic, and a little messy in the best way, more about chemistry and relationships than big external plot. Because the characters know each other so well, the tension often comes from secrets, loyalty, and the fear of upsetting the people you depend on most.
