Author bio
Charlotte Young grew up in a small town in Texas, where books and writing were already part of her life. Her later path wasn't especially predictable. As a young adult, she realized she wanted more adventure than the careful, familiar life expected by many people around her.
That restlessness took her traveling. Time spent exploring other places and meeting people with different customs gave her new experiences to draw on, and it also strengthened her interest in writing romance.
She brought those stories home with her.
Young eventually returned to the South, where family became the center of her daily life. She is a mother and an aunt, and she has described raising her son as one of the happiest parts of her life. Working from home has allowed her to keep publishing while staying close to the people who matter most to her.
That family focus sits comfortably beside a long love of reading and writing. Young has said that people she has known, places she has visited, and moments from her own life all feed into the feelings she puts on the page. Her work is interested in connection, second chances, and the choices that make a house feel more like home.
In 2020, she published the three-book Western Billionaire Ranchers sequence. The Billionaire Cowboy's Racing Heart introduces Mason Bond, a horse trainer who has turned his attention to a ranch for retired racehorses. The Billionaire Cowboy Needs A Nanny follows Cade Abbott as he tries to build a stable home for his young daughter. In The Billionaire Cowboy and His Best Friend Forever, childhood friends Sam Griffin and Peyton Woodbury get another chance to see what their bond might become.
Horses, ranch work, and guarded hearts keep turning up in these stories.
The books use romantic setups that put characters in close contact, whether that means a matchmaker visiting a ranch, a nanny joining a single father's household, or two longtime friends reconnecting as adults. Money and beautiful settings may open the door, but the real tension comes from trust, family pressure, past hurt, and the question of whether each couple can make room for love.
Young also published the standalone novel Love Remembered in 2020. Across her romance titles, she keeps the focus on emotionally direct relationships and characters trying to move forward without ignoring what came before. For readers looking for short, warm contemporary romances with horses and family ties in the mix, the Western Billionaire Ranchers books are a natural place to begin.
