Series background & context

The Braxians books are science-fiction romances set in the same larger universe as the Veredian Chronicles. They focus on Braxian characters and the people drawn into their lives, while questions of honor, prejudice, family, and political change keep connecting the stories.

These are not quiet courtship stories.

The series starts with Anton's Grace, a deliberately dark romance set around the Venus Hive, where Grace turns to the ruthless Anton Myers when her former boyfriend leaves her trapped by debt. Later books shift the focus to other Braxian men and the women whose lives become tied to theirs. Ravik's Mercy, Krygor's Hope, and Keran's Dawn broaden the picture of Braxian society and its uneasy past.

The pureblood Braxians are physically imposing, but the books are more interested in what power does to people. Some characters carry old hurts. Others must reckon with systems that have mistreated hybrids, workers, or those with less status. Romance provides the emotional center, while threats from enemies, criminals, and political factions keep the stakes moving.

Krygor's Hope follows a mother trying to protect her daughter after being trapped in an exploitative contract. Keran's Dawn brings a crown prince to a sanctuary planet where murders expose a larger conspiracy. Those setups show the series at its best: a couple's private bond developing alongside a problem that affects an entire community.

Read these in order if you want the fullest picture. The Braxian books overlap with the Veredian Chronicles, and the shared reading path reveals characters and developments as the wider story unfolds. Start with Anton's Grace only if you are comfortable with dark-romance content. Otherwise, the later entries offer a more accessible way into the connected universe.
