The third book, The Video Tape, gives Bobby another piece of old evidence, a VHS recording from the 1990s. A woman appears to be murdered on the grainy footage, but the killer's face cannot be seen. Bobby agrees to identify someone who may have vanished decades earlier, a task that leads him into a seedier side of Hollywood and makes him wonder whether the killer is still watching.

Each story starts with a tangible clue, an album, a missing-girl case, or a videotape, then asks what happens when someone decides old evidence still deserves an answer. Bobby's investigations bring him up against people who have had years to protect their secrets. The danger grows because reopening a case does not simply reveal history. It can create new victims.

The tone is dark and direct, with a mix of mystery, family history, and modern suspense. The books work as separate cases, but they are best read in order because Bobby's experience and confidence build from one investigation to the next.
