That change in point of view gives the duology a wider feel. You get the same town, the same sticky atmosphere, and the same sense that old stories are rooted in something painfully real.

Readers should expect strong atmosphere, teen relationships, and mysteries that keep circling back to family. These are not books about solving one puzzle and walking away neat and untouched.
