Berry Basket Mysteries Books in Order

Her circle includes employees, friends, local boosters, and a fiancé whose place in her life is not always simple.

Every book ties its mystery to a season, a berry, and a local event. Dying for Strawberries opens with the Strawberry Moon Bash. Blackberry Burial turns a road rally and art school celebration into a cold case. Killed on Blueberry Hill uses carnival season and orchard rivalries. Mulberry Mischief brings in a harvest health fair, Halloween nerves, and a woman known as the Lake Lady. Farrow likes the contrast between postcard scenery and the bad behavior tucked behind it. Visitors see beaches, berry festivals, and cute storefronts. Marlee sees which families are fighting, who has something to lose, and which version of the local story does not quite add up.

The tone stays solidly cozy, but there is enough bite to keep the books from going too soft. Marlee is not a police officer, and the series does not pretend she is. She snoops, listens, guesses wrong sometimes, and keeps going. There are also recipes in the books, which fit the shopkeeping angle without taking over the mystery.
