Holiday Heat Wave works as a shorter companion in the same world. The Casanova Experience moves to pro basketball, following Chandler and Amy as a no-strings arrangement grows harder to contain. Chandler has a polished, romantic routine and a complicated past, while Amy has reasons not to trust easy promises. The setup brings the series' familiar mix of humor, heat, and a hero who has to prove he wants more than a good time.

Dirty Trick takes the sharpest turn away from the usual locker-room romance. Eva Napleton, previously introduced in Playing Dirty, works as a psychologist for the DEA. After a night out and an unexpected encounter with tattooed bad boy Corbin, she learns he is not someone she can simply avoid. Corbin is an ex-dealer working as a criminal informant, and Eva is assigned to work alongside him as a dangerous investigation unfolds.

That shift gives the final main installment more suspense. The romantic tension is still there, but so are the risks tied to Corbin's past and the undercover operation.

Read the series in publication order if you enjoy seeing familiar names return and want Eva's connection to Jake's world to land properly.
