Series background & context
Angelview Academy is the trilogy that introduced many readers to E.M. Snow's brand of dark, addictive prep school romance. Set at an elite California boarding school, it follows scholarship student Mallory Ellis as she collides with Saint Angelle, the boy everyone else treats like a god.
Mallory arrives at Angelview on a full ride she never applied for, seeing it as a chance to escape a painful past and reinvent herself, only to discover that the school's glossy surface hides a vicious pecking order.
At the top of that hierarchy sit three boys known around campus as the Gods, with Saint at their center. When Mallory steps between him and a smaller target on her first day, she marks herself as a problem he intends to punish, and Angelview turns from dream school into a pressure cooker.
The first book, Saint, focuses on that initial war between them, full of taunts, pranks, and escalating cruelty that carries a serious content warning. Underneath the games, though, Snow lets flashes of vulnerability slip through, hinting at the secrets Mallory is hiding about where she came from and the twisted family dynamics driving Saint's need for control.
Malice raises the stakes after a brutal public humiliation blows up Mallory's fragile place at the academy. With her past creeping closer, her friendships strained, and Saint's obsession turning even more possessive, the book digs deeper into themes of shame, betrayal, and what it costs to stand up to people who have all the power.
In Eden, the final installment, everything that has been simmering in the background boils over. Threats move beyond cafeteria gossip into real world danger, and both Mallory and Saint have to decide how much of themselves they are willing to sacrifice for each other, and whether their relationship can be anything but destructive.
Across all three novels, Angelview Academy blends slow burn enemies to lovers romance with mystery, family secrets, and intense emotional swings. It is very much a mature high school series, heavy on bullying and trauma, but it also gives space to moments of friendship, found family, and the stubborn hope that even the most broken past does not have to dictate the future.
