Wraith Books in Order

Wraith is one of Kathleen Kelly's darker worlds. It is shorter than her long-running MC series, but it does not feel smaller. If anything, the books come in harder. The setup is built around obsession, revenge, and the kind of violence that grows out of grief rather than club ambition. That gives the series a sharper, more thriller-like edge than some of her other work.

The first book, Wraith, kicks that off with a father pushed far past reason after his daughter is taken. He is not looking for romance first. He is looking for answers, and he is willing to break people to get them. The search drags him across a landscape that touches MC danger, Russian-mob pressure, and shadowy forces moving behind the scenes. Readers who want clean moral lines are not really coming here for that. Wraith is about a man operating on fury, instinct, and the need to protect what is his.

That protective streak is the core of the series. Kelly writes plenty of possessive heroes, but Wraith is built around a father rather than a standard bad-boy biker setup. It makes the threat feel more immediate and more personal. The violence is not abstract club business. It is tied to family, loss, and the question of how much humanity a man can keep once revenge becomes his whole purpose.

The follow-up, Fealty, appears to pick up with that same protective energy still very much alive. Set later, it looks at what remains when the first storm has passed and whether loyalty, trust, and family can hold under fresh pressure. That makes the series feel less like a one-note revenge tale and more like a continuing study of what survival does to people.

In tone, these books are dark romantic suspense first and comfort reads second. They are fast, intense, and willing to sit in rougher emotions than some of Kelly's family-centered series. At the same time, her usual strengths are still there. She keeps the pages moving, she understands how to build pressure, and she knows how to make readers care about whether damaged people can claw their way back toward something worth protecting.

If you are coming to Wraith, expect a shorter but harsher ride. Start with Wraith and read on to Fealty for the fallout. This is Kelly in a moodier, more brutal register, where loyalty is tested under extreme circumstances and the cost of love is never cheap.
