Series background & context

Wild Wicked Highlanders is Suzanne Enoch's Scottish historical romance series about the MacTaggert brothers, rugged Highland men who find themselves pulled into London society, family plans, and romances they did not expect.

The main novels are It's Getting Scot in Here, Scot Under the Covers, and Hit Me With Your Best Scot. A later short story, Great Scot!, returns to the series world.

The central setup is simple and fun: Highland family expectations collide with the rules of the English marriage market. The brothers have their own ideas about loyalty and freedom, while the women they meet have no interest in being managed as if romance were merely another clan arrangement.

London and Scotland both matter here. City drawing rooms offer gossip, fashion, and social maneuvering. The Highlands bring the pull of home, land, and family responsibility. The series gets much of its energy from characters trying to bridge those two worlds without pretending they are the same.

The romances are connected through the brothers and their family, but each book has its own central couple and a complete emotional arc. Expect quick dialogue, strong-willed heroines, protective but frequently misguided heroes, and a tone that stays playful even when family stakes are high.

Start with It's Getting Scot in Here. It introduces the MacTaggerts and the family problem that sends them toward London. Continue in order for the best payoff from sibling banter, recurring characters, and the shifting family dynamics.
