Series background & context

This long shared series mixes three dependable romance pressures: widowhood, unexpected children, and marriage plans gone wrong. That combination makes the stakes personal right from the opening pages.

Tanner's books use those elements well. Her heroines are often left with few choices and a child to protect, while the hero has to decide whether he can make room in his life for complications he did not ask for.

If you like babies, mistaken arrangements, and western romances where home has to be built around a very messy beginning, this series is easy to enjoy.
