Series background & context

Wicked Monsters is paranormal why choose with a full creature-feature lineup. The heroine, Aisha, starts in the Pit believing she already understands what monsters are. Then she is taken into the orbit of vampire Dashiell and discovers the world is much wider, and much stranger, than the one she was taught to fear.

That is the basic pleasure of the series. Each book opens the world further. Vampires are only the beginning. Wolves, gargoyles, and other lurking dangers keep crowding the edges until Aisha is no longer deciding whether one man can be trusted, but whether any of these inhuman powers can be lived with at all. Night Captive sets the trap. Cruel Moon, Enchanted Dusk, and Fierce Light keep raising both the emotional and supernatural stakes.

It is a big, pulpy setup, and it knows it.

The books move fast, lean into temptation, and keep the focus on how Aisha changes as she is forced out of the life she knew. If you want monster romance that is unabashedly paranormal, with one heroine surrounded by several dangerous protectors and threats, Wicked Monsters is an easy yes.
