Wasteland Warlords Books in Order

Wasteland Warlords takes place in the broader Rogue Dungeon universe, but it has its own flavor from the start. The Merge has dumped monsters, dungeons, and loot-driven chaos into the American West, turning malls, suburbs, and dead zones into hunting grounds. Walls try to contain the spread. Profit and desperation do the rest.

Clay Jaeger, his wife Alex, and his chainsaw-loving brother Joe go west because normal life has failed them and the wasteland, for all its horrors, still offers a path forward. Their goal is practical and insane at the same time. Kill a Dungeon Lord, take the power, and build something out of the wreckage. That family-first motive gives the series its backbone. These books are about survival, but they are also about what people will risk for the tiny chance of freedom and agency.

The progression side is clean and satisfying. Clay and company start out scraping for loot and basic power, then move into Incant abilities, dungeon politics, and fights that involve rival crews, black-market economies, prison dungeons, stolen souls, and whole factions inside the Infested Zone. The world is a mess, and the books know it. That is why they work.

Hunter and eden Hudson also keep the tone nicely balanced. There are nasty monsters and hard stakes, but the Jaeger family dynamic adds humor and warmth. Clay is serious enough to ground the story, Alex is sharp enough to keep it moving, and Joe makes sure the wasteland never gets too respectable.

If you want post-apocalyptic LitRPG that feels more scavenger-western than polished game sim, Wasteland Warlords is a good pick. It shares DNA with Rogue Dungeon, but the focus on family, loot-driven survival, and American wasteland weirdness gives it a strong identity of its own.
