Series background & context

Wallshire Mystery is a classic small-town cozy built around tea, gossip, and a heroine who gets into trouble the minute she comes home. Peyton Hart returns to Wallshire hoping to reconnect with her estranged mother and maybe figure out where she belongs.

Instead, someone dies.

When the owner of the local tea shop is poisoned and Peyton becomes the prime suspect, she has no choice but to start looking for answers herself. That puts her inside the town's quirks, grudges, and long-buried secrets a lot faster than she planned.

The tea-shop setting gives the series a warm center. It is the kind of place where people talk, notice things, and accidentally reveal more than they mean to. Detective Levi Kessler adds pressure from the official side of the case, while Peyton's personal history keeps the stakes from feeling lightweight.

If you like cozy mysteries with a strong sense of place, plenty of community drama, and a lead who grows into sleuthing almost against her will, Wallshire is an inviting series to start.
