Author bio
Victoria Quinn writes contemporary romance where power, money, and vulnerability are always colliding. She broke out with Black Obsidian in 2017, the first book in her Obsidian series, and she quickly built a large backlist of connected love stories. Her books live in a world of billionaires, luxury apartments, private offices, family baggage, and people who are much softer than they first appear.
Reading came first.
On her author site, Quinn says she has had a wild imagination for as long as she can remember, that reading was her hobby, and that writing became her passion. That fits the way her series work. They move quickly, lean into fantasy, and usually begin with a clean, memorable hook: a mistaken slap, a corporate standoff, a paid arrangement, a brilliant man who cannot quite connect with other people.
The series that first put her on many readers' radar was Obsidian. Those books follow Rome Moretti and Calloway Owens through a dark, high heat relationship shaped by control, trust, and the private world Calloway keeps hidden. Quinn released all four Obsidian novels in 2017, which gave readers a complete arc to fall into right away. It also showed one of her biggest strengths early on, she likes building a romance across several books instead of rushing it.
She likes a couple who can fight for control.
That same energy carries into Boss Lady, where Tatum Titan and Diesel Hunt turn a business clash into a very personal power struggle, and into Cherry Popper, a shorter duet that mixes debt, desire, and emotional risk. Later, The Man Who Has No Soul opens a longer family centered saga with Deacon Hamilton, a genius doctor who is brilliant in his work and terrible at ordinary human connection. Across these books, Quinn keeps returning to the same question: what happens when someone who needs control meets someone who refuses to be handled.
Readers usually come to Quinn for alpha heroes, strong heroines, and a lot of tension, but the appeal is not just the steam. Her novels are full of stubborn people, private grief, second chances, and family complications that keep rolling forward from one installment to the next. She likes elite settings, New York penthouses, exclusive workplaces, publishing houses, clinics, but she balances the fantasy with emotional problems her characters cannot simply buy their way out of.
The clothes are expensive. The mess is human.
Quinn's site describes her as a New York Times bestselling author, and it also shares a few small personal details that feel very much in character for her brand of romance. She lives in Seattle, loves her two cats, and is devoted to her husband, Mr. Quinn. It is a simple note, but it lands well. Even in her most heightened stories, home still matters.
