Series background & context

Vampires Crave Curves takes a lot of familiar vampire pieces, immortality, blood, hunters, old power, and gives them a glossy spy-thriller twist.

The central idea is the Vampire Intelligence Agency, or VIA, a secret organization that protects immortal royalty and keeps human beings from learning too much about what lives in the dark. So the heroes are not just vampires. They are agents, strategists, and enforcers. They know how to run a mission. What they do not know is how to stay calm when fate hands them a mate who smells like dessert.

That is part of the joke.

Across Vampires Are Forever, The Vampire Who Loved Me, and Her Majesty's Secret Vampire, the books mix espionage energy with romance. One hero is a deadly black-ops type, another moves through shadow missions, and another is the brilliant quartermaster figure who turns out to have more monster in him than anyone guessed. The heroines, meanwhile, are fashion designers, cupcake-bright survivors, tea-shop owners, and other women who get swept into royal secrets, prophecy, and danger without turning into passive bystanders.

The tone is sleek and playful, but the stakes are real. Assassination plots, vampire hunters, hidden identities, and traitors keep the action moving. At the same time, the series enjoys its own absurd charm. These men may be ancient predators, but they are also completely undone by chocolate cake, cupcakes, or tea. That contrast gives the books a lighter touch than some darker vampire romance lines.

If you want paranormal romance with secret agencies, immortal politics, fated mates, and a little wink of spy-story nonsense, this is the vampire page to open first. It is one of the clearest examples of Aidy Award taking a stock fantasy creature and finding a playful new angle.
