Series background & context

Unexpected Amish Blessings is a three-book Amish romance series set in Lancaster County. The stories are connected by a community care center and by characters who are trying to build families after loss, hardship, and painful mistakes.

His Unexpected Amish Twins begins with a tragedy. When Micah Miller's brother and sister-in-law are killed in a buggy accident, Micah honors his promise to raise their young twins, Jabin and Chloe. Overwhelmed by the children's grief and his own, he turns to Hope Graber's animal-therapy farm. Hope is trying to save her family's farm after her father's health ends his work breeding horses, and her care for the twins draws her and Micah together.

Healing takes work.

In His Pretend Amish Bride, special-needs teacher Priscilla Ebersol is dealing with the fallout from a boyfriend's betrayal and the gossip that follows. Her research on camel milk leads her to Gabriel Kauffman's camel farm. When an English company mistakes Priscilla for Gabe's wife, the pair continue the misunderstanding as a fake engagement, even though both have reasons to fear being honest.

The third book, His Accidental Amish Family, follows Anna Flaud, who uses a wheelchair after a teenage buggy accident and works at the Community Care Center. Anna hopes to adopt three siblings with special needs, but she needs a husband to meet the requirements. Levi King, working at the center as he tries to make amends for a past mistake, is drawn to Anna's determination but worries that he is not fit to care for children.

Across all three books, the romances grow out of practical kindness. People show up for children, help keep a farm or business afloat, and find ways to face problems they would rather avoid. Faith is part of the characters' daily lives, but it does not erase grief or uncertainty overnight.

The series is best read in order, starting with His Unexpected Amish Twins. It introduces the community and the hopeful, family-centered tone that carries through His Pretend Amish Bride and His Accidental Amish Family.
