The fourth novella, Ivy and Intrigue, takes the holiday beyond England. Lady Margaret travels abroad under the watch of former soldier Benjamin Rockwell, who has been hired to protect her. A stolen jewel turns their bickering and evasions into a shared investigation.

The books are brief but not plotless. Each has an external obstacle, whether it is a false identity, inheritance trouble, a questionable wedding, or a theft, to give the romance momentum. The tone stays playful, cozy, and hopeful.
