Tribulation Pilgrim's Progress Books in Order

The Tribulation Pilgrim's Progress books are near-future Christian dystopian novels built around Bible prophecy. They are set in America during the last stretch of ordinary life before the Rapture, and then in the tense gap that follows it. If you are expecting epic fantasy or hard science fiction, this series goes another way. It stays close to neighborhoods, institutions, and people trying to keep life together while the world starts to wobble.

There is not one single hero. Tredecim follows pastors and scholars who think seriously about what is coming, ordinary men and women who want to protect family and community, and political figures who see crisis as a chance to grab power. That broad cast matters. The books are less about one chosen savior than about how very different people react when old assumptions stop working and prophecy suddenly feels personal.

Everyone is walking toward the same cliff, but not everyone knows it.

In Twilight of the Church Age, a team works on a resource called Lifeline for the Lost Sheep, meant to help people who will be left behind after the Rapture. Around that project, Tredecim layers in crime, human trafficking, censorship, economic strain, and more intrusive government. The book introduces a large cast spread across the country and builds toward the moment the characters left on earth call the Great Surprise.

Then The Great New Deal picks up with the aftermath. Believers are gone, the truth is harder to ignore, and the people who remain have to decide whether to face what happened or use the chaos for their own ends. Some characters move toward faith as they begin to understand the event. Others dig in harder, hide the truth, or chase profit and influence. The second book also weaves in material from the Lifeline resource, so explanation and drama travel together.

The series is serious about prophecy, but it is not humorless.

Tredecim uses parody and political satire to lighten scenes that could otherwise become relentlessly bleak. He also keeps the books at a relatively restrained level, without heavy profanity, explicit material, or graphic gore. That gives the series a particular tone, part thriller, part cautionary tale, part teaching tool. For reading order, the story starts with Twilight of the Church Age and continues with The Great New Deal, even though The Great New Deal was published first. Tredecim later said he was not planning a third novel set deep in the Tribulation, so the arc currently works best as a two-book lead-in to that darker period.
