Author bio
Tiffany Snow was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and she still lives in her home state. She attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, where she earned degrees in History and Social Studies Education. Before writing full-time, she spent years working as an instructor and consultant in information technology, which helps explain why some of her later books feel so comfortable around code, systems, and smart people solving messy problems.
Books came first.
Snow has said she never expected to become a writer. She had always been a big reader, especially of romance, and one bout of frustration with a popular series pushed her into writing her own ending to it. That small act of reader rebellion turned into something bigger. Once she started inventing her own characters and problems, she found she loved the work of building a story from scratch.
That beginning suits her fiction. Her books often start with a woman trying to manage an ordinary life, then blow a hole in that routine with murder, secrets, or both. No Turning Back, the first Kathleen Turner novel, is a good example. Kathleen is a young woman in Indianapolis juggling a law firm job and bartending shifts when a killing drags her into danger, and into the orbit of two very different brothers, Blane Kirk and Kade Dennon.
Snow kept returning to that mix of attraction and threat in later books, but she changed the scenery. Power Play moves into high-end business and police trouble, with Sage caught between the boss she has long wanted and the detective investigating him. Follow Me introduces China Mack, a brilliant, quirky computer prodigy whose ordered life falls apart once a classified tech project turns deadly. In In His Shadow, she shifts toward spy suspense, pairing a wounded heroine, Ivy Mason, with British agent Devon Clay. Even a standalone like Blank Slate shows her usual interests, identity, danger, and whether people can be more than the worst thing in their past.
She likes capable women, dangerous men, and bad timing.
Across her series, you see familiar threads. There are law firms, assassins, hackers, CEOs, secret programs, and men with military or intelligence backgrounds. There are also heroines who are smarter and tougher than people first assume. Snow tends to write romance and suspense as if they belong in the same room, not as separate lanes, so the emotional stakes keep rising alongside the outside threat. Readers who enjoy love triangles, loyalty tested under pressure, and fast plots with a personal center usually find a lot to like here.
Off the page, the picture is pretty down to earth. Snow says she has loved romance novels since she was far too young for some of them. She is open about loving Doctor Who, preferring Pepsi to Coke, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals, and being able to recite When Harry Met Sally and Apollo 13. Those details do not make the books, but they do make the author behind them feel real.
She now writes full-time and lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with her husband and two daughters. That steady Midwestern grounding, mixed with a fondness for danger, humor, and strong romantic tension, runs through her work. Even when the plots get wild, the people at the center usually want something recognizable: safety, trust, love, and a fair shot at starting over.
