This collection follows Thongor's early adventures across Lemuria, combining Lin Carter's stories with additions by Robert M. Price. Encounters with sorcerers, hidden cities, and monsters introduce the barbarian before the events of the main novels.

Robert M. Price expands Lin Carter's Lemurian world in stories spanning Thongor's career. Tales including The Creature in the Crypt and Witch-Queen of Lemuria pit the warrior against ancient magic, dangerous rulers, and supernatural foes.
