Ace starts near the bottom and grows into the wider conflict. Flint brings the worn-down pilot angle, someone already shaped by the system before the crisis gets bigger. Wren adds another layer, because imprisonment, secret projects, and survival under pressure make her one of the series' most vulnerable and useful points of view at the same time. Their paths converge around ships, missions, and the slow realization that Earth is nowhere near as prepared as it thinks it is.

Once the crew reaches the Eureka, the series settles into its real rhythm. That ship becomes both refuge and engine. It is where alliances get tested, plans get made, and the long war against the Watchers starts feeling personal. The conflict spans colony worlds, hostile territory, betrayals, time complications, and risky missions that depend on people working together long after they have run out of reasons to trust the system that brought them here.

That is where the title earns its keep.

The resistance is not just about fighting aliens. It is also about resisting bad leadership, half-truths, old grudges, and the temptation to solve everything with brute force.
