Series background & context

The Locked Duet begins with Lock Me Inside, a dark romance about a woman whose mother’s new relationship ties her to the father of her two worst bullies. Suddenly, the people who made her life miserable are not people she can avoid.

Home becomes the battlefield.

The first book builds its conflict around forced proximity, hostile attraction, and the emotional confusion of being trapped in a situation nobody chose. Lock Me Out continues the story after the damage of the first installment, when the past refuses to stay buried and old wounds keep shaping the present.

The duet is focused on conflict before comfort. Its characters carry resentment, fear, and desire into the same living space, making every uneasy truce feel temporary. The tone is dark, emotional, and centered on the fallout of bullying and complicated family ties.

Read Lock Me Inside first, then Lock Me Out. The second book relies on the relationships and history established in the first.
