In A Power Unbound, Jack Alston, Lord Hawthorn, is drawn back into magic despite wanting a safer life. He and Alan Ross, a writer and thief with little patience for aristocrats, become part of a frantic search for the final piece of the Last Contract. The action gathers at Jack’s ancestral estate, where old loyalties, dangerous magic, and a manor-house heist push the trilogy’s larger conflict toward its reckoning.
