It starts with My Lady Jane, which takes Tudor history, keeps Lady Jane Grey, King Edward, and Gifford Dudley, then throws in shapeshifters, conspiracies, and a lot of jokes. That book sets the pattern. Real history stays just close enough to be recognizable, but fantasy is always ready to kick the door in. The result is not a careful historical novel. It is a fast, funny alternate history where the emotional stakes are real even when the narration is cheerfully winking at the reader.

My Plain Jane shifts to a ghost-filled riff on Jane Eyre, with Jane, Charlotte Bronte, and ghost hunter Alexander Blackwood getting tangled up in hauntings, murder, and Gothic nonsense. My Calamity Jane moves west, turning Calamity Jane, Annie Oakley, and Frank Butler into the center of a monster-hunting Wild West adventure.
