Series background & context

The Hunt for Cinderella is a shared-world romance series with a fairy-tale wink and a very modern problem. The Hunt family men are pushed toward marriage by inheritance pressure, which means love, money, pride, and family expectations all arrive in the same scene.

That setup gives the series its spark. The books mix wealthy family drama with women who are not especially interested in playing the princess on cue. Allison Leigh's entries, including The Bride and the Bargain, Once Upon a Proposal, and Once Upon a Valentine, keep the Cinderella framing but ground it in contemporary choices, practical concerns, and plenty of chemistry.

The tone is lighter than some of Leigh's Wyoming books, but the emotional engine is similar. People have to decide whether a convenient arrangement, a family demand, or one reckless choice might accidentally lead them to the real thing.
