The Honeybee Sisters Books in Order

The Honeybee Sisters series follows three Amish sisters, Lily, Poppy, and Rose Christner, who live and work on a honey farm in Wisconsin. In their community they are known as the Honeybee Sisters, and the nickname fits. The books are full of buzzing hives, sweet recipes, constant family closeness, and more than a little commotion.

Their aunt Bitsy helps with that.

Bitsy raised the girls after they were orphaned, and she is one of those Jennifer Beckstrand characters who can make a whole scene better just by walking into it. She is protective, sharp-tongued, loyal, and not especially interested in being delicate about any of it. Her presence gives the series a lot of its humor, but also its backbone. This is a family that has been through loss and built itself back together.

Each book centers on one sister's romance. Lily has to sort through old hurts and new attention. Poppy runs headfirst into trouble and refuses to back down. Rose, the shyest of the three, has to learn that being quiet is not the same thing as being invisible. The love stories are satisfying on their own, but the real pleasure of the series is watching the sisters move as a unit, protecting one another, annoying one another, and showing up when it counts.

The farm setting gives the books a slightly different energy from Beckstrand's matchmaking-grandparent stories. The work matters. The beehives matter. The house, the kitchen, the yard, and the steady rhythm of chores all help shape the characters. So does the ongoing trouble around the property. A vandal keeps stirring things up, which adds a thread of tension through the series and gives the romances something solid to push against besides ordinary nerves.

It stays warm, though.

That is really the appeal here. These are gentle romances, but they are not sleepy. Beckstrand fills them with bickering, embarrassment, misunderstandings, community expectations, and the occasional comic disaster. The men have to prove themselves. The women are not pushovers. And because the sisters are so close, every courtship becomes a household matter whether the couple likes it or not.

There is also a nice thread about healing in these books. The Christner sisters carry old grief, private fears, and the awkwardness that comes from growing up watched by a whole community. Love does not erase that. It helps them face it. That makes the series feel sweeter and a little more grounded than a simple courtship arc.

If you want Jennifer Beckstrand at her most family-centered, this is a good series to pick up. It has beekeeping, banter, meddling relatives, and just enough mystery to keep the pages moving. More than that, it gives you three sisters who feel like a real little world, and that world is easy to want to spend time in.
