Series background & context

The Enchanted Village is Annie Seaton's cosy-magic series, set in a community where everyday life has a little extra sparkle. The stories combine romance, village connections and gentle magical elements rather than dark fantasy rules or epic battles.

The village is a place where newcomers can find a fresh start and long-time residents may be hiding unusual gifts. Seasonal celebrations, local businesses and neighbours' lives give the books their warm centre.

Magic is part of the neighbourhood.

The characters still face recognisable problems. They worry about love, belonging, family expectations, work and whether they can trust the person who has suddenly become important to them. The magical side of the setting often makes those feelings more complicated, or gives a character the push needed to face them.

Expect a lighter tone, with charm, community and a touch of whimsy. The books are designed for readers who like romance but also enjoy the idea that an ordinary village might hold old secrets and unexpected possibilities.

The series is best read in order because the village and its residents become more familiar over time. Each book can also offer a complete character-focused story.

It is an inviting change of pace from Seaton's suspense and outback romances.
