Series background & context

The Bennetts series is a four book family saga that follows a tight circle of friends and lovers as they build lives, businesses and complicated relationships around the wealthy Bennett family.

The story begins in When You Are Mine with Kerris Moreton, a woman who grew up in foster care and has learned to survive by being practical. She is on the verge of opening her own business in Atlanta and is engaged to Cam, a good man who shared the same rough upbringing. Their relationship feels safe, if not exactly electric.

Safety is shaken the moment Kerris meets Walsh Bennett, Cam’s best friend and the heir to a powerful philanthropic family. Walsh uses his privilege to do meaningful work through the family foundation, and he is drawn to Kerris in a way he cannot easily explain away. The first book captures that forbidden pull between them and the cost of trying to ignore it out of loyalty and gratitude.

Loving You Always picks up after Kerris and Cam marry, with everyone trying to live with the fallout of choices made in the first book. Kerris is building the family she always wanted, yet her connection with Walsh refuses to fade. Secrets, guilt and a sudden tragedy sharpen the line between duty and desire, forcing all three to examine what love really asks of them.

The focus widens in Be Mine Forever, which centers on Cam and Jo Walsh, the woman who has loved him quietly for years. Cam is a gifted artist carrying grief and regret, and Jo is tired of standing on the sidelines of her own life. Their story explores healing after loss, the possibility of friendship turning to something deeper and the question of whether two people can rebuild trust when so much has already been broken.

The final novel, Until I'm Yours, follows Sofie Baston, a famous model who has always appeared cold and untouchable from the outside. Underneath the polish she is a survivor with scars she rarely shows. When her powerful father pushes her to draw in a promising entrepreneur, Trevor Bishop, for business reasons, genuine feelings get tangled up with old wounds and the desire for justice against a man who hurt her. Trevor’s patience and steadiness become a counterpoint to Sofie’s armor as they face down the past together.

Across the series, readers move through charity galas, art studios, boardrooms and neighborhoods that shaped these characters long before the first page. The Bennetts books are full of messy choices, family secrets and moral gray areas, but they always circle back to themes of found family, forgiveness and the belief that even people who have done harm can choose to grow.
