Author bio

TC Edge writes fantasy and science fiction that like to move. His stories usually begin with one person under pressure, then widen into broken cities, hidden power, old lies, and wars that refuse to stay small.

He was born in London and grew up in the countryside of southern England.

That mix of city and country feels fitting for his books. He has described growing up with three brothers and what felt like a whole farmyard's worth of animals, which gives his backstory a grounded, busy sort of energy. Even when his fiction gets huge, it usually starts with characters whose problems are close to home.

As a kid, he wanted the impossible jobs. A Jedi. A Super Saiyan. Some kind of superhero. Writing seems to have become the practical version of that dream, a way to build powers, monsters, warriors, and chosen ones without waiting for the universe to cooperate.

He has also said he is a big movie fan, and that helps explain the pacing of his books. They tend to be visual, fast, and built around sharp turns that keep the plot moving. He has said he prefers inventing worlds to writing straight in the real one, which is why so much of his work lives in alternate futures or fully secondary fantasy settings.

That range shows up quickly in the bibliography.

A lot of readers start with The Enhanced, and stay because Brie's story mixes class division, genetic power, mystery, and romance without losing speed. Others head to The Warrior Race for arena violence and imperial politics, or to The Chosen and Variant for other versions of dystopian resistance. On the fantasy side, The Song of the First Blade opens The Bladeborn Saga, a much bigger canvas of kingdoms, prophecy, gods, and war. Earlier books like The Watchers of Eden show the same interest in control, hidden histories, and young characters discovering that the official story is false.

That shared-world habit is part of his appeal. Separate series do not always stay separate for long, and later books often reward readers who enjoy seeing old choices echo into new conflicts. Across the catalog, a few patterns keep returning: divided societies, gifted outsiders, buried truth, and people forced to grow up faster than they should. If you like fast speculative fiction that balances mystery with momentum, TC Edge has built a lot of it.
