Tamarack Ridge Romances takes place in a small Montana town surrounded by mountains, forests, trails, and the outdoor work that keeps the community going. Jennica Waverly's long relationship ends just before a big family wedding, and she persuades reserved knife maker Jack Hale to act as her date. Their pretend arrangement gives both of them a reason to question old fears.

The setup has a touch of comedy, but it stays rooted in recovery, privacy, and two people deciding whether unexpected company might become something more.
