Series background & context
Destination Billionaire Romance is a shared collection of clean contemporary romances built around money, travel, and unexpected relationships. Different authors contribute stories, so the series offers a range of settings and couples rather than one continuous cast. Jeanette Lewis's two entries also form their own small Epperson Family Romances thread.
The first Epperson story is The Lucky Billionaire. Ty Epperson is an Idaho sheep farmer whose lottery win gives him more money than he ever expected to handle. He does not want the fortune to turn him into someone else, and he wants to use it to fund a project that matters. But public attention makes it clear that he needs help presenting that work to the world.
Holland Morrissey is a Los Angeles image consultant with a very different kind of life. She agrees to help Ty build the Epperson Foundation, then travels to Hailey, Idaho, where she sees both the man behind the awkward media image and the town that shaped him. Their differences create the romantic spark, while threats to the foundation add some suspense.
Money changes the logistics. It does not solve the hard parts.
Horses, Hayrides, and Husbands turns to Ty's sister Misty Epperson. She helps run the foundation while caring for her toddler, but she is wary of love after a painful past. Travis Harper, a Clydesdale wrangler, is drawn to Misty but has little patience for wealthy people. When a conflict over grazing land puts him at odds with Ty, Misty has to face how her family name affects the relationship.
Lewis's books use the billionaire premise in an unusual way. Ty begins as a rancher who happened to win the lottery, not a polished tycoon. The Epperson Foundation gives the series a practical center, showing how sudden wealth can create responsibility, attention, and conflict as well as freedom. Family loyalty and local community matter at least as much as luxury.
Because this is a multi-author destination series, most books can be read independently. Readers who want Lewis's connected characters should read The Lucky Billionaire first, then Horses, Hayrides, and Husbands. That order introduces Ty, Holland, the foundation, and the Epperson family before shifting to Misty's story.
The mood is romantic, western-leaning, and lightly suspenseful.
Expect Idaho scenery, ranch and horse-country details, people from different worlds learning to trust one another, and clean romances that keep emotional choices at the center. The wealth is part of the complication, not the answer.
