Series background & context

The Sweetheart Sisters books are small-town Florida romances with a very fun twist: a trio of older women who take it upon themselves to steer the love lives of the people around them. The matchmaking is part of the charm, but these books are not just cute setups. Underneath the meddling, the stories deal with divorce, grief, old wounds, and the fear of trusting happiness a second time.

The Sweetheart Sisters do not believe in staying out of it.

In The Sweetheart Bargain, a woman arrives in Rescue Bay after inheriting a home from the mother she never knew, hoping for answers and maybe a chance to start over. Instead, she finds a brooding neighbor, a town full of opinions, and a family connection she never expected. The Sweetheart Rules turns to veterinarian Diana Tuttle, a single mother who is very good at taking care of everyone except herself. The Sweetheart Secret follows physician Colton Harper, whose carefully managed life gets shaken up when the past shows back up in a way he cannot ignore.

Rescue Bay is essential to the series. It has sunshine, gossip, local rituals, and just enough eccentricity to make the matchmaking feel believable rather than silly. The Sweetheart Sisters themselves give the books rhythm, humor, and a sense that love in this town is never entirely private.

The tone is warm, funny, and tender. Jump balances breezy scenes with real emotional bruises, so the books have more depth than the setup first suggests. These are stories about people who thought their future had narrowed and then discover it has not.

If you like coastal small towns, meddling elders, and romance that mixes laughter with second chances, this series is an especially easy one to recommend.
