Superstition Books in Order

The Superstition series takes place in Superstition, Kentucky, a small mountain town with a very big hidden population. Mythical creatures, psychics, cursed beings, and ordinary residents all share the same streets, even if most people do not know the full story. Teresa J Reasor uses that setup for paranormal romantic suspense, so each book mixes a love story with a mystery, an attack, or a dark force moving just out of sight.

The first book, Deep Within the Shadows, introduces the town through twins Miranda and Juliet Templeton. Both women are still living with the damage of childhood trauma, and when they are attacked within minutes of each other, old differences have to give way to survival. Caleb Faulkner brings the military protector angle, Detective Chase Robinson brings the investigation, and the book makes it clear right away that human violence and supernatural danger are tangled together in this place.

In Deep Within The Stone, the series turns a little more gothic. Genevieve Warren, a sculptor, brings home a rare gargoyle from Scotland and learns that Finlay MacLeod is not just carved stone but a man trapped inside a curse. That premise sounds wild, and it is, but the story works because the emotional center stays simple. Finlay wants release, Genevieve wants truth, and something else in Superstition wants her badly enough to hunt her.

Superstition is the kind of town where a quiet street can turn strange fast.

Deep Within the Mind keeps the town feeling lived in while shifting to a new couple and a new threat. Harper Montgomery is a veterinarian and a powerful psychic who would rather keep her gift hidden, until a vision of a child abduction forces her into the open. Detective Miles Barrett arrives as the skeptical outsider, and the case around them grows darker as a killer leaves a trail with almost no evidence. That balance, everyday work on one side, the uncanny on the other, is one of the series' real strengths.

Across all three books, the town is the glue. Reasor keeps returning to the idea that people in Superstition have learned to live beside the unusual, even when it frightens them. The romances matter, but so do trust, secrecy, family history, and the cost of pretending the dark is not there. If you like small-town paranormal stories with a little menace, a little mystery, and couples who have to face both emotional and literal monsters, this series should be a good fit.
