Stuck Books in Order

Stuck takes a very simple romance engine and uses it well: an emergency landing strands travelers on Christmas Island, and suddenly people who never meant to spend time together are sharing rooms, plans, and way too much personal space.

That setup gives the books an instant hook. The characters are already off balance before the romance even starts. They are traveling, frustrated, stuck far from home, and dealing with holiday expectations that have gone completely sideways. Then attraction shows up and makes everything more complicated.

Because the setting is temporary, these books feel a little different from Elsie James's usual rooted small-town worlds. Christmas Island is not about settling into a familiar community over several books. It is about the strange bubble that forms when people are thrown together and have to decide whether what they are feeling is only for the moment or worth carrying back into real life.

If you like forced proximity, holiday romance, and the pleasure of watching inconvenience turn into chemistry, this series is a good fit. It is compact, festive, and very aware that being stuck with the wrong person can be miserable, unless, of course, it turns out to be exactly the right one.
