Series background & context

Straight Guys is a long running contemporary MM romance cycle about men who swear they are straight until a particular person becomes their exception. The books are short, high heat and heavy on obsession, but each centers a full arc from bad choices to an eventual happy ending.

The series starts with Straight Boy and Just a Bit Twisted, where prison cellmates, then a professor and his desperate student, slide from uneasy bargains into addictive relationships. These early stories introduce the loose network of friends, teammates and relatives that will keep crossing paths for years.

From there the focus widens. Just a Bit Obsessed tangles a controlling boyfriend in an unwanted threesome that turns into something far more dangerous to his sense of self. Just a Bit Unhealthy dives into a codependent bond between a rising soccer star and the team doctor who helped rebuild his body. Just a Bit Wrong and Just a Bit Confusing stay in the football world, pairing a grumpy physiotherapist with a bratty prodigy and then two childhood best friends who discover their feelings are not as one sided as they thought.

Mid series books push the drama even further. In Just a Bit Ruthless a hopeless romantic is kidnapped by a Russian billionaire with ties to his family and slowly falls for the man who should be his enemy. Just a Bit Wicked matches a homophobic bully with the model he wrongly blames for a breakup, then traps them together in a bodyguard job. Just a Bit Shameless throws a homeless thief and an undercover MI6 agent into a fake sugar baby arrangement that stops feeling fake very quickly.

Later titles raise the stakes and the interconnectedness. Just a Bit Gay explores a best friends to lovers pairing where a straight bar owner discovers new kinks with his oldest friend. Just a Bit Dirty features a British student who becomes nanny to a ruthless American CEO's son. Just a Bit Wrecked strands a bigoted businessman and an out, wealthy traveler on a deserted island after a plane crash.

Just a Bit Bossy, Just a Bit Heartless, Just a Bit Captivated and Just a Bit Guarded lean into mafia ties, sheikh princes and billionaire bosses, circling back to side characters and family lines from earlier books. By this point the world reaches from London pubs and American boardrooms to Italian crime families and palaces in the desert, but the core is always two men whose connection feels a little too intense for comfort.

Every book can be read on its own, and readers often jump around by favorite trope, yet following the publication order lets you enjoy running jokes, cameos and the slow reveal of how all these tangled lives fit together.
