Still Surviving Books in Order

At the center of Still Surviving is Westley Flagg, a young man who knows how to live close to the edge. He is a moonshiner, a poacher, and a prepper, mostly because life has never given him much margin for error. When a solar storm knocks out the grid, the skills that once made him look like a troublemaker suddenly matter a lot. So does Raider, the dog who becomes his partner through the worst of it.

This is a rural blackout series, but it is not just about stockpiles and gadgets. Wes is tied to his grandparents, to hard years of poverty, and to the uneasy feeling that the law, criminals, and plain bad luck can all ruin you just as fast. That makes the early books feel more grounded than grand. The collapse happens, but Craven also spends time on the people who were already living one bad week away from a crisis.

Then the pressure grows.

As the books go on, the story widens from one man's survival to the defense of a homestead and the people around it. Jessica becomes an important part of Wes's life, while enemies like Spider and the KGR turn the series into a long, ugly fight over territory, supplies, and control. Moles, betrayals, and hidden agendas keep the group guessing, even when they think they finally understand who is on their side.

The tone is tense, practical, and often rough in a good way. There is plenty of action, but the hook is really the mix of competence and pressure. Wes knows how to make things, hide things, and improvise. What he does not always know is how to keep his conscience clean once the rules disappear.
