Steele Brothers of Starlight Cove Books in Order

Steele Brothers of Starlight Cove is a spin-off that takes the beach-town setting of the main Starlight Cove books and hands it to a new set of gruff, messy heroes. The tone will feel familiar if you already know Walsh's small-town work, but this series leans even harder into big romance hooks, forced proximity, fake dating, roommates, convenience marriage, while keeping the same connected-world charm.

Each book follows a different Steele brother and the woman who throws his life out of order. The Grump Next Door pairs a control-loving landlord and former football player with a sharp-tongued single mom who ends up living in his backyard cottage. The Live-In Temptation adds sudden single parenthood and a nanny setup, which is a recipe for trouble before the romance even gets going. The Mr and Mrs Mistake pushes into convenience marriage territory, and The Roommate Rules piles on enemies to lovers, forced cohabitation, and sex lessons.

If you like grumps, this is the lane.

Even with those very hooky setups, the stakes stay grounded. Walsh is still interested in everyday problems, housing, kids, jobs, family farms, town reputation, the complications of having to see the same people tomorrow after you did something reckless tonight. That balance helps the books feel bigger than a pile of tropes, even when the tropes are a big part of the fun.

The Starlight Cove setting still matters here, too. Families overlap. Side characters wander in and out. The town meddles. If you have already read Rebel Heart, you will notice the bridge into this spin-off, but you do not have to do homework first. The books introduce their emotional world clearly enough that new readers can jump in without feeling lost.

Compared with the earlier Starlight Cove books, the Steele series feels a little more playful about its own setup. The heroes are still intense and protective, but there is extra room for chaos, banter, and the kind of town-wide interference that makes a romance move faster because everyone else can already see what the couple is refusing to admit.

If you want Brighton Walsh at her most bingeable, this series is a good bet. The pacing is strong, the chemistry starts early, and the shared setting makes it easy to roll from one brother's disaster to the next.
