Spirit of Destiny is Lynn Donovan's paranormal fantasy trilogy: The Wishing Well Curse, Thorns of Betrayal, and Secret Voices. It blends romance, danger, ghosts, and Christian themes in a story world where the ordinary can turn strange without warning.
The first book begins with Ezekiel Clay having a disastrous day. He leaves EMT school, loses his job, discovers his girlfriend's betrayal, and then rescues the very man involved in that betrayal from a wreck. Soon afterward, Zeke learns he has inherited something tied to an old curse, a wishing well, and a task involving true love.
Things get stranger.
Zeke's tattoo bleeds when he passes the well, and the people around him are not easy to read. A leather-wearing pastor, an attorney, relatives with unclear motives, and ghosts all make it difficult to know who is telling the truth. The series builds from that mix of romantic tension, supernatural trouble, and a hero who is not sure why fate has singled him out.
Thorns of Betrayal and Secret Voices continue the larger world rather than simply repeating the first setup. The trilogy keeps its focus on secrets, trust, and people who need help even when their experiences sound impossible.
