Series background & context
Spade Hotel is one of Marni Mann’s biggest glossy romance worlds. The series follows the Spade family, wealthy heirs attached to a luxury hotel brand, and builds a connected run of standalones around money, obsession, and the kind of attraction that gets intense very fast.
The books all have their own central couple, but the family framework is what makes the series stick. The Playboy starts with Macon, a man who is used to being wanted and has no clue what to do when one woman looks right through him. The Rebel, The Sinner, and The Heartbreaker keep expanding the family circle with blizzards, enemies, mystery women, and forbidden trouble. The One closes out the run and leans hardest into the emotional wrap-up of the larger world.
These are rich-people romances, but they are not especially cool or detached. The Spade men tend to feel hard and fast, and Mann writes them that way on purpose. That makes the series easy to tear through when you want linked billionaire books with recurring siblings, luxury settings, and a lot of all-in energy. Reading in order is the best way to enjoy the family dynamics and crossovers.
