When the only person who can help clean up the mess is also the person who makes the hero lose control, the line between damage control and desire disappears.

Series background & context

Single in Seattle is a contemporary romance spin-off that stays in Kristen Proby’s Seattle orbit, but shifts the focus to a different set of leads and a slightly more modern, rom-com-ready feel. The books connect through friendships and familiar faces, but each one delivers its own complete love story.

The titles tell you a lot about the vibe: secrets, scandals, surprises, and setups. These characters are successful, messy, and sometimes a little too good at pretending they’re fine. The tension usually comes from keeping something hidden, saying the thing you’re afraid to say, or realizing the person you want is closer than you thought.

There’s still plenty of heat and heart, plus the comfort of a larger cast that will absolutely show up when someone needs help, or needs to be roasted lovingly by friends.

If you like messy feelings and clean banter, you’ll fit right in.

You can read these out of order, but starting at the beginning makes the friend-group dynamic and the recurring jokes land better as the series goes on.
