Secrets Kept Books in Order

Secrets Kept does exactly what the name suggests. These are romances where the relationship itself comes with a built-in reason it should not happen, or at least should stay quiet. That gives the books a slightly more forbidden edge than Hart's cozier series.

In Off Limits, the central problem is family history and the fact that one man is his sister's ex-husband. In Pushing the Limits, the tension comes from stepbrothers, years of suppression, and the fear of blowing up a whole family system. Neither book is dark in the way some taboo romance can be, but both are interested in guilt, loyalty, and what it costs to keep choosing distance when desire refuses to cooperate.

If you like Hart when she lets relationships get a little messy before they get right, Secrets Kept is a strong fit. The books are emotional, intimate, and very aware that love can feel most dangerous when it asks you to disappoint the people you care about.
