Series background & context

Satan’s Heirs, also known as the Devil May Care world, is a linked, darker romance concept co-created with Dee Davis and Kathleen O’Reilly. The hook is wild: the illegitimate children of Satan are grown, dangerous, and caught in a fight between heaven, hell, and their own desires.

The stories blend paranormal stakes with contemporary heat. Characters are pulled into supernatural politics, tempted by power, and forced to decide what side they’re on when the lines get blurry.

Fate is not subtle here.

Kenner’s contributions, including Seducing Sin and Tempting Fate, are built to work as complete romances, but they also connect to the bigger shared storyline. You’ll see overlapping themes, hints of a larger conflict, and the sense that somebody is always being played.

The tone is sexy, a little dangerous, and often faster-paced than a traditional urban fantasy. Think romance-first, with the paranormal elements raising the pressure and the temptation.

Start with the first Kenner title in the list and read forward if you want the smoothest experience, or dip in wherever your favorite tropes land. Either way, expect heat, risk, and a world that doesn’t reward innocence.
